Job Description:

As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring a high standard of customer service, managing staff, and driving sales. Your role involves implementing company policies, maintaining store standards, and achieving financial targets while creating a positive shopping environment for our customers.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Operations Management:
    • Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
    • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and stocked according to company standards.
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving merchandise.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues.
    • Implement strategies to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase satisfaction.
  • Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise store staff.
    • Schedule employee shifts and manage timekeeping.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
  • Sales and Financial Management:
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve store targets and drive revenue.
    • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports on store metrics.
    • Manage store budget, including controlling expenses and maximizing profitability.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
    • Implement and maintain health, safety, and security protocols.
  • Marketing and Promotions:
    • Coordinate in-store promotions and marketing activities to boost sales.
    • Maintain visual merchandising standards in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Address and resolve operational issues, including equipment malfunctions and supply chain disruptions.
    • Implement corrective actions to improve store performance and efficiency.

Selection Criteria

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a retail management role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team or experience with inventory management and financial reporting.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Retail management certification or relevant training is a plus.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays and ability to stand for extended periods
  • Work in a retail environment with exposure to various weather conditions and potential for high foot traffic.
