Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, hire, discipline, and, when necessary, terminate store staff in line with company policies and labor regulations.
  • Prepare employee work schedules, assign duties and responsibilities, and ensure tasks are carried out effectively within the store.
  • Train new employees and provide continuous training and development to improve staff performance and service quality.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and manage staff performance using performance-based metrics and sales indicators.
  • Set clear performance expectations for staff, including sales targets, customer service standards, and behavioral requirements.
  • Establish financial goals and sales targets for individuals and teams and monitor progress regularly.
  • Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable performance.
  • Manage retail and company inventory, including stock control, ordering, receiving, and loss prevention related to theft and damage.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing and advertising initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing customers.
  • Coordinate in-store and external promotional activities to increase sales and brand visibility.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service are consistently delivered and customer issues are resolved promptly and professionally.

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in retail, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, delegate tasks fairly, and contribute as a strong team player.
  • Strong commitment to customer service excellence and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting, marketing, strategic planning, and vendor relationship management.
  • Good understanding of retail products, technology, and current retail market trends.
  • Proven ability to consistently achieve results with strong sales and merchandising skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
