Job Description:
We’re looking for a proactive and results-oriented Shop Manager to oversee daily operations, manage a dynamic team, and ensure smooth running of the shop. You’ll be responsible for driving sales, managing stock, and maintaining a welcoming environment for both staff and customers.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Staff Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of shop assistants; ensure proper training and performance tracking.
- Sales & Targets: Maximize sales by developing strategies to meet or exceed sales goals; analyze sales trends and take action where needed.
- Customer Service: Ensure every customer has a positive shopping experience and resolve any complaints efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels, manage orders, and ensure proper display and stock rotation.
- Daily Operations: Oversee store opening/closing, cash management, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Administrative Duties: Track store performance, manage schedules, and provide reports on sales, inventory, and other key metrics.
Selection Criteria
- Have at least three years’ experience in retail and one year experience in leadership
- Are able to motivate a team, delegate work fairly, and contribute as a team player
- Have a relentless commitment to delivering customer service excellence and building strong customer relationships
- Can show knowledge of budgeting, marketing, strategic planning, and vendor relationship management
- Have sound knowledge of technology products and the current retail environment
- Consistently deliver results and have first-class sales skills
- Are highly organized and able to communicate well both verbally and in writing
