Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient workflow, and profitable business performance. The Restaurant Manager will supervise and lead restaurant staff, manage operational budgets, monitor inventory levels, maintain food quality and safety standards, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. The role requires strong leadership to coordinate front-of-house and back-of-house teams, optimize staffing schedules, control costs, and enhance the overall dining experience. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for monitoring sales performance, resolving customer concerns, implementing operational improvements, and ensuring the effective use of resources to achieve the restaurant’s financial and service objectives. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate teams, maintain high standards of food and service quality, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the restaurant.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient service delivery, customer satisfaction, and smooth coordination between front-of-house and kitchen staff.
  • Implement and execute operational strategies that support the restaurant’s business objectives, sales targets, and growth plans.
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor restaurant budgets, controlling food, beverage, labor, and operational costs while maximizing profitability.
  • Develop, review, and enforce restaurant policies, service procedures, food safety standards, and quality control measures.
  • Supervise, motivate, and support restaurant staff to maintain high levels of performance, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Coordinate staff recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and training programs in collaboration with management and human resources.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, customer satisfaction, food quality, labor efficiency, and inventory management, and implement improvements where required.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and address performance concerns through coaching, training, and corrective action when necessary.
  • Prepare and submit regular operational, sales, inventory, and financial reports to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and regulatory requirements applicable to restaurant operations.
  • Manage inventory levels, oversee purchasing activities, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely availability of quality food, beverages, and restaurant supplies.
  • Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally to maintain a positive dining experience.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to improve efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and maintain profitability.

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum of 6 years’ progressive experience in restaurant management, hospitality operations, or food and beverage leadership roles, with demonstrated responsibility for restaurant performance and staff supervision.
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, or similar leadership role, with direct accountability for customer service, operational efficiency, and financial results.
  • Strong experience in restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, budgeting, inventory management, cost control, sales performance, and customer service management.
  • Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, food safety and hygiene standards, procurement processes, staff training, and basic financial management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate sales, labor, food cost, and operational data to improve efficiency, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills, with the ability to motivate staff, coordinate front-of-house and kitchen operations, and achieve business objectives.
  • Sound knowledge of health, safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements applicable to restaurant operations.
  • Experience in handling customer complaints, resolving operational issues, and maintaining high standards of service quality and guest experience.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining service excellence and operational standards.
