Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the overall operations of the company, including the management of staff, budgets, and day-to-day business activities. The General Manager will provide leadership across all departments, ensure efficient use of resources, maintain financial control, and support the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency and smooth workflow.
- Develop and implement business strategies and set measurable goals to support growth and sustainability.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets while controlling costs and optimizing expenses.
- Establish, review, and enforce company policies, procedures, and operational processes.
- Ensure employees work productively and are supported in their professional development.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.
- Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve operational and financial performance.
- Lead and manage employee performance assessment and appraisal processes.
- Prepare and present regular operational and financial reports to senior management.
- Ensure full compliance with workplace health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify operational challenges and provide effective solutions, including addressing profit decline, employee conflicts, and competitive pressures.
Selection Criteria
- Minimum of 6 years’ progressive experience in accounting, finance, or senior financial leadership roles, with demonstrated responsibility for organizational performance.
- Proven track record as a General Manager, Chief Operating Officer, Finance Director, or equivalent executive role, with full accountability for business results.
- Extensive experience in strategic planning, enterprise budgeting, financial governance, and long-term performance management.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end business operations, including finance, human resources, procurement, operations, and risk management.
- Advanced analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to translate complex financial and operational data into executive-level decisions.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence at board, executive, and operational levels.
