Job Description:
Lead the daily operations of our bakery. You will be responsible for overseeing staff, managing production, ensuring product quality, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for baking, and experience in managing a fast-paced environment..
Roles & Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, and manage bakery staff; provide coaching and feedback to ensure high performance and a positive work environment.
- Production Management: Oversee daily production of baked goods, ensuring quality and consistency. Manage schedules for baking, prep, and inventory.
- Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service, handle customer inquiries, and address any concerns or complaints promptly.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels for ingredients and supplies; place orders and ensure stock is properly managed.
- Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards for all baked goods, from ingredients to final presentation.
- Operations & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including food safety and cleanliness of the bakery.
- Financial Management: Manage costs, track expenses, and work to meet profitability goals. Assist with pricing strategies for products.
- Marketing & Sales: Promote new items, seasonal specials, and customer loyalty programs to drive sales.
Selection Criteria
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a bakery or food production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams, resolve issues, and deliver results under pressure.
- Proficiency in inventory systems, POS, and basic computer applications (MS Office).
- Certificate in Food Safety, HACCP, or related training (required or willing to obtain).
