Job Description:
Responsible for managing the daily operations of the retail shop, ensuring smooth workflow, excellent customer service, and strong sales performance. The role includes supervising and motivating staff, maintaining high standards of store presentation and cleanliness, overseeing inventory and stock control, handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally, and implementing sales strategies to achieve business targets and maximize profitability.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the team by leading, training, and scheduling staff to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers, resolving complaints promptly, and creating a positive shopping experience.
- Drive sales performance by achieving targets, monitoring sales results, managing inventory effectively, and promoting products to increase revenue.
- Maintain high standards of store appearance by ensuring the shop is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Oversee cash handling and administrative duties by monitoring budgets, tracking sales performance, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Selection Criteria
- Have at least three years of experience in a retail environment, including a minimum of one year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Demonstrate the ability to motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively and fairly, and contribute positively as a team player.
- Show strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service and building long-term customer relationships.
- Possess knowledge of budgeting, marketing, basic strategic planning, and vendor relationship management.
- Have sound understanding of retail operations and the current market environment.
- Consistently achieve sales targets and demonstrate strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Are highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
