Job Description
Trade and Business Operations Management
- Oversee and manage all trade operations to ensure efficient distribution, sales growth, and profitability.
- Develop and implement trade strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives and market conditions.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, distributors, wholesalers, and key trade partners.
- Monitor market trends, pricing structures, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure effective procurement, stock movement, and supply chain coordination.
- Coordinate with sales, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth trade operations.
- Prepare trade plans, forecasts, and sales targets, and monitor performance against set objectives.
Financial and Performance Management
- Develop, manage, and monitor trade budgets to ensure cost control and profitability.
- Analyze sales performance, margins, and operational costs to support informed decision-making.
- Prepare regular trade performance reports for senior management.
- Implement measures to improve operational efficiency and financial results.
Team Leadership and Staff Management
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the trade team to achieve performance targets.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of trade and sales staff.
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular staff evaluations.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a results-driven work culture.
Compliance, Policies, and Risk Management
- Ensure all trade activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures for trade operations.
- Identify risks within trade operations and implement mitigation strategies.
Other Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice and operational support to senior management.
- Handle additional duties as assigned to support the company’s overall objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Trade Manager, Sales Manager, Commercial Manager, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of trade operations, procurement, distribution, and sales management.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
