Job Description:
We are looking for a Shop Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth running of the shop. You’ll manage the team, handle customer relations, and maintain operational standards, all while ensuring the shop meets its performance goals.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Team Management: Hire, train, and lead a team; assign daily tasks and provide regular feedback.
- Customer Service: Ensure exceptional service to customers and resolve any issues or complaints efficiently.
- Shop Operations: Manage opening and closing procedures, track operational costs, and maintain shop cleanliness.
- Inventory & Supplies: Monitor inventory levels and ensure the shop is always stocked with necessary supplies.
- Budget & Financials: Manage day-to-day financial tasks, including cash handling, banking, and basic bookkeeping.
- Compliance: Ensure the shop operates in compliance with all relevant regulations and health/safety standards.
Selection Criteria
- Have at least three years’ experience in retail and one year experience in leadership
- Are able to motivate a team, delegate work fairly, and contribute as a team player
- Have a relentless commitment to delivering customer service excellence and building strong customer relationships
- Can show knowledge of budgeting, marketing, strategic planning, and vendor relationship management
- Have sound knowledge of technology products and the current retail environment
- Consistently deliver results and have first-class sales skills
- Are highly organized and able to communicate well both verbally and in writing
