Job Description:
The Home Furnishing Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, presentation, and sales of furniture, home décor, and lifestyle products in a retail environment. Ensures that the store’s home furnishing section aligns with customer needs and brand standards, drives sales performance, and delivers a high-quality customer experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Drive sales performance by setting and achieving sales targets.
- Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction through training and coaching staff.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Plan and implement effective in-store displays that reflect seasonal trends and company branding.
- Ensure that product placement, signage, and promotional materials are accurate and visually appealing.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for restocking.
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of sales associates and visual merchandisers.
- Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations.
- Stay updated with the latest in home furnishing trends, materials, and styles.
- Train staff on product features, benefits, and care instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the showroom floor.
- Analyze sales data and report on trends, customer preferences, and stock movement.
- Assist in pricing strategy and promotional planning.
Selection Criteria
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in home furnishings or lifestyle products.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising principles and retail operations.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-focused attitude with a passion for home décor and design.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail POS systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Interior Design, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of retail or showroom experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
