Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store. You will be responsible for leading a team, achieving sales targets, maintaining high store standards, and ensuring excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a store manager and knowledge of diverse business subjects such as sales, marketing etc. An effective retail manager will also be able to motivate personnel to perform according to their maximum capacity.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail store
- Lead, train, and motivate store staff to deliver excellent customer service
- Set and monitor sales targets and develop strategies to achieve them
- Manage inventory levels and ensure product availability
- Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation meet brand standards
- Handle customer complaints and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Monitor financial performance, including budgets, sales reports, and expenses
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Schedule staff and manage payroll or timesheets as required
- Collaborate with head office on promotions, marketing strategies, and stock management
Selection Criteria
- Proven experience as retail manager or in other managerial position
- Knowledge of retail management best practices
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organizing and leadership skills
- Commercial awareness
- Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles
- Excellent knowledge of retail management software (e.g. MS RMS)
- BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field; MSc/MA is desirable
